Missions Month, 2018

Meeting on Sundays, January 14 to February 4 – a full month with special guest speakers, meeting with missionaries, and opportunities to serve!
The theme of this year’s Missions Month is “…My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth” (Acts 1:8), with special guests in our Worship Service, during Adult and Children’s Sunday School, and in Children’s Church. Each week we focus on a particular area of ministry – “Missions through Church Planting,” “Missions through Local and Campus Ministries,”  “Missions Abroad,” and closing with the encouragement to “Pray, Send, Go.”

SUNDAY, JANUARY 14   Missions through Church Planting

10:00 AM Sunday School for all ages with Missions Sharing

SUNDAY, JANUARY 21   Missions through Local and Campus Ministries
8:45 AM Worship Service: Guest Speaker – Rev. Tom Franklin, RUF Pastor , Birmingham Southern College
10:00 AM Sunday School: Operation Mercy. Opportunity for families to purchase goods during the Sunday School hour, and deliver them to Sav-A-Life for their “Stork’s Nest.”

SUNDAY, JANUARY 28   Missions Abroad
8:45 AM Worship Service: Guest Speaker – Dr. Paul Kooistra, Retired Coordinator, Mission to the World
10:00 AM Sunday School for all ages with Missions Sharing
Church families host missionary guests for lunch
5:00 p.m. Pot Luck Supper
6:00 p.m. Evening Worship: Guest Speaker – Dr. Paul Kooistra

SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 4   Pray, Send, Go
8:45 AM Worship Service: Speaker – Rev. Chris Peters
10:00 AM Sunday School for all ages with Missions Sharing
