Short Term Mission Trips
International Mission Trips to Peru and Ukraine
We have had several short-term missions trips to Peru and Ukraine. In 2011 we went to both countries; last year we returned to Peru; and we are now planning our 2013 trip. We have a vision of continually expanding our view of the mission of God through His Church and these trips are just one way of doing that. When we consider where to go with short-term trips, one of our primary desires is to go where we can form a long-term relationship. Though these trips may seem short, they provide opportunities to pray and lift up the Church around the world, to serve and to observe.
PERU 2012 trip report
Date: September 21 - 30, 2012
Location: Huaraz, Peru - Medical Missions trip with both medical and non-medical needs.
Last year was our second mission trip to Peru ministering the Gospel in word and deed. A team of eleven assisted our Missionaries, Larry and Sandra Rockwell, ministering in the mountain villages outside Huaraz. The need was for both medical and non-medical teams. The team provided medical care for over 600 people, led at least 30 people in prayers to receive Christ for salvation, visited schools, and sponsored and led children Bible classes.

Date: Summer Camp for Orphans
Location: Kiev, Ukraine
Hosts: Solomensky Reformed Presbyterian Church along with MTW
In 2011 the Lord had presented us with the opportunity to go to
Kiev, Ukraine to spread the Good News of Christ through relationship building while partnering with Ukrainian Christians in leading a camp for orphans. Solomensky Church, a MTW church plant which we’ve worked with over the past few years, started a ministry,
"Shelter," teaching these orphans “Morals and Ethics” classes as they prepare to transition into the 'real world'. — We plan to return to co-host a Summer Camp in 2013. See our 2011 trip report, as well as,

UKRAINE 2011
| PURPOSE: |
to help these orphans, who are so often taken advantage of or imprisoned as they leave the orphanage, gain the skills needed to adjust to living in the Ukrainian society. Just this past February, the church received permission to begin this ministry and we are excited about the opportunity to be on the ground floor of this Kingdom building work.
|
| PROGRAM: |
we assisted with the local Ukrainian Christians in teaching these classes, leading games and crafts, teaching basic English (as so many want to learn from Americans), and generally spreading the love of Christ through our words and actions to children so hungry for the love of God.
